Our braai was pretty good last night. In addition to ribs, Odi offered up another option of hot dog.
We didn't see the lions today, but we saw evidence of them tucking into their kills that they made over the weekend. One of the carcasses has disappeared altogether so they must have dragged it off somewhere for safe keeping.
We also spotted another calf in the herd of black wildebeest. It looked very shaky on its feet so can't be more than a few days old. We wondered if its mother was the other adult wildebeest that was killed by the lions as the calf seemed to be on its own and none of the other wildebeest seemed to be looking after it. If that is the case, then things don't look too bright and he is likely to become the lions' next snack.
Our leisurely day yesterday was brought to a halt today as we switched back into hard labour mode, tackling some more Scottish thistles and a spot of road maintenance. Back by popular demand - another shot of me with a pickaxe..
